Faith Community School Color Dash Sandy BeachFaith Community School's 1st Annual Color Dash fundraiser will be held at Sandy Beach along the Treadwell Historic Mine Trail. This event is capped at 500 participants, and is open to ALL AGES. This is a family friendly event, and participants may either run or walk the 5K course. Aukeman Triathlon AukelakeThis event starts in the waters of Auke Lake, an incredibly scenic spot surrounded by mountains. The swim course is a single well-marked loop. Participants emerge from the lake, run up to transition at the University of Alaska Southeast Campus, and are then off to the Mendenhall Glacier. The bike course is moderately flat, and out-and-back, with a climb back up to the transition area. The run takes participants back by the lake for a trail run in the rainforest. Midsummer Night Run 10K/5K/1 mile False Outer Point Recreational Area, also known as Picnic Cove on North Douglas Highway.The 10k route starts at False Outer Point Recreation Area and loops back to the start from just beyond the Fish Creek Bridge on North Douglas Highway.
