Friends of the Poor St PaulsStart and end at St. Paul's Catholic Church parking lot, going on the bike path to Fred Meyer and back. Registration starts at 8:15 am with the 5k/1k runs starting at 9:00 and the ~2M walk at 10:00. Pre-registration available at Foggy Mountain, NAO, Pavitt, and The Alaska Club. Aukeman Triathlon Auke LakeThis event starts in the waters of Auke Lake, an incredibly scenic spot surrounded by mountains. The swim course is a single well-marked loop. Participants emerge from the lake, run up to transition at the University of Alaska Southeast Campus, and are then off to the Mendenhall Glacier. The bike course is moderately flat, and out-and-back, with a climb back up to the transition area. The run takes participants back by the lake for a trail run in the rainforest. Frank Maier Memorial Marathon and Douglas Island Half Marathon Savikko Park (Sandy Beach) Douglas.This Saturday is the biggest running event of the season, the Marathon, Half Marathon and the Jackson Fraction Deci. Online registration is closed, but you can register at either bib pickup. The first bib pickup will be on Thursday, July 27, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Nugget Alaskan Outfitters in the Mendenhall Mall. The second pickup will be held the following evening (Friday, July 28) in the Gallery at the Juneau Arts and Humanities Council (JAHC) building at the corner of Egan Drive and Whittier Street in downtown Juneau, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. You may also register the morning of the event at the start. Lake Loops Relay UASFive-leg relay, each loop with beautiful, runnable trail! More trail, more socializing, more team-leg flexibility, great view of every leg's start and finish, minimal driving, flush toilets! We'll have a hospitality room in Egan and will try to keep up with brewing coffee to go with the other treats. All legs start and end in front of the Mourant Building in the UAS main courtyard. All legs run counter-clockwise, starting and ending along Auke Lake. Legs 1, 3 and 5 are approximately 6 miles each.
