Ken Humphreys Memorial Run North DouglasDistance: 10 kilometers, 5 kilometers and one mile Location: North Douglas The eighth annual running, an Empire Cup Runners Series race, held on a Friday. Guy Thibodeau and Merry Ellefson won the men's and women's 10 kilometers in 35:30 and 38:04, Paul Harker and Natasha Von Imhof the 5 kilometers in 21:17 and 22:36, and Dominic Florendo the mile in 6:19. The Juneau Empire reported 73 contestants. The published results carry 72, and the paper's own summary names Sarah Croteau as the winner of the women's mile although she does not appear anywhere in the printed list - so the missing finisher is very probably her, dropped in typesetting. No time was printed for her and none has been invented here.
