May Day Mud Run	Twin Lakes	Date/Time: Saturday, May 2, both runs start at promptly at 12 Noon. Long Course: Park at Twin Lakes. The approximate 6 mile run starts at saltwater edge of the Mendenhall Wetlands near Alaska Cable Network/KJNO radio station. The course crosses the channel through the Mendenhall Wetlands and finishes at Fish Creek on Douglas Island. Point to point course, runners choose their best route. There will be one checkpoint at Fish Creek. No running allowed on roads! Short Course: The 3 mile run begins at the trail head of the Mendenhall Wetland's dike trail, runs to the stump at the end of the trail, then crosses the Mendenhall Wetlands to the finish at Fish Creek on Douglas Island. There will be two checkpoints: at the stump at end of Wetland's dike trail and at Fish Creek. No running is allowed along the Douglas Highway or in the Bayview subdivision. Registration: Preregister, $5.00 at the Foggy Mountain Shop and the Juneau Racquet. Day of Race, $8.00, at the start of both races from 11:00-11:45 AM.
