The date and start come from the Taku Striders' 1980 race schedule, printed in the Juneau Empire at the start of that season: "July 26, 8 a.m., the annual marathon, 26.2 miles starting at the Glacier parking lot." The event had been held here on a placeholder date of 1 January until that schedule turned up. Only one finisher is recorded, Steve Davis in 2:34:30. The rest of the field is not known. |
