Recorded from the Juneau Empire's 1992 Empire Cup series calendar, which lists it as "Ken Humphreys Memorial 5- and 10-kilometer, July 18". The finishers come from the Empire of Tuesday 21 July 1992, page 10, which prints all three races under the heading "Results of the annual Ken Humphreys Memorial mile, 5- and 10-kilometer runs, Saturday, July 17 at False Outer Point" - so the meet included a one-mile race the series calendar does not mention. The results column dates the race to Saturday 17 July; 17 July 1992 was a Friday and the Saturday was the 18th, which is the date the calendar gives and the date used here. Places are overall within each race and no divisions, ages or sexes are printed. The Empire prints Jennifer Baxter at both seventh and eighth in the mile, at the same 7:14, so the eighth finisher cannot be named and twenty of the mile's twenty-one places are held here. The ten-kilometre list numbers fifty places for fifty-one finishers, giving place 31 to both Morgan Humphreys Davis and Brian Emmons. Charles Humphreys finished 20th in the ten kilometres and Morgan Humphreys Davis 31st. |
